This is a great image because you can see the front breaks. 1928 was the first year Harley Davidson manufactured bikes with “front brakes”. This engine is a 74 ci flat head v-twin w/ a three speed transmission. This bike also was the first to have the “superpowered twin” with 18HP, a larger capacity fuel pump connected to the throttle. The original price was around $320 USD and Harley Davidson only produced approximately 11,000 of these bikes.
