green cars and trucks
The word hybrid and its relation to green technologies and renewable energy and automotives are the result of an interaction deliberately created by human intervention. In its current context a “hybrid” automotives started approximately 100 years ago via our favorite German engineered brand = Porsche (the Mixte built by Porsche). So in the only way we know how. Jersey fats is going to catalogue as many variant hybrid cars as we can.

Guess the honest truth is not many people out there would trade in their cars for this very little 40MPG Smart Car. Unlike Europe, the USA does not have narrow roads and a culture of safe drivers. We have large SUV’s and a very large workforce who drives very large trucks. And when the unfortunate case occurs, this is the result. I would not trade my Saturn for one of these.

1904 Lohner-Porsche Mixte, known as one of the earliest hybrid cars, developed by Ferdinand Porsche in 1901. Not as quickly developed as the Ford Model A via the assembly line, but nevertheless a great effort for one of today’s most notable names.
